2011 Cabrillo Beach Enduro Race Recap

Dear friends of the Enduro

We had some waves, we had some wind, and we had lots of good times! Thank you to all our sponsors, supporters, and race participants for making the 5th Annual Enduro a success!

Beginning the day we had 8 that competed in the SUP race on our new course starting on the outer beach, they paddled around the Angels Gate Lighthouse and finished on the inner beach. At about 3:00pm when the wind was blowing, 45 windsurfers did figure eights to win great prizes!

Cabrillo Beach Boosters www.cabrillobeachboosters.org :
Cabrillo Beach Boosters is a community organization with the purpose of, implementing the San Pedro Community Plan and Coastal Plan for Cabrillo Beach and to promote the restoration and preservation of the Bathhouse as a Historical Monument dedicated to the Community for use as an educational, recreational, ocean oriented Cabrillo Marine Center. The Enduro is one of the 3 events the Boosters put on each summer at Cabrillo Beach. These events would not be possible without many local sponsors including the San Pedro Central, Coastal, and Northwest Neighborhood Councils, the Port of Los Angeles, Councilwoman Janice Hahn, Supervisor Don Knabe, City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks and many other local businesses and individuals that support them each year with their contributions.
